What is Fund-a-Thon?
Fund-a-Thon is the largest national, grassroots fundraiser for abortion access. Our fundraising goal is $10k!
Participants form teams or set up an individual page and ask people in their networks to support abortion access by making a donation to their local abortion fund. It's an easy, fun way to get involved in the fight for reproductive justice and make a real impact in your community!
How to get involved:
There are many ways to get involved in Fund-a-Thon. Create a team, join a team, fundraise as an individual, make a donation, attend an event, and more! Check out our Fund-a-Thon Toolkit for details on how to register, fundraising tips, and much more!
1. Create a Fundraising Team or Individual Page:
Click the REGISTER button at the top of the page to register as a team, join an existing team, or fundraise as an individual. Click the TOOLKIT button to find out more about fund-a-thon, registration instructions, fundraising ideas and tips, sample email and social media templates, and more.
Once you've created your team or solo fundraising page, start reaching out to the people in your network! Let them know who Tides is, why you're fundraising, and ask for a donation to help you reach your goal.
2. Donate:
A donation of any amount helps get us closer to our goal of raising $10k by May 31!
Here's what your donation can do:
$15 = One grocery store gift card
$50 = A Lyft ride to an appointment
$100 = Pills by mail for one person
$650 = Cost of a surgical abortion appointment (first trimester)
$1200 = Cost of surgical abortion appointment (second trimester)
3. Sponsor Fund-a-Thon:
Do you own or work for a business that wants to support Tides?

Make a contribution of $50 or more, and we'll include your logo on our website, and give you a shoutout on our socials and in our newsletter
Other ways to get involved:

Put out a tip jar or create an option to round up at the register

Donate a portion of sales from one day of business, or host a one-time donation only class to benefit Tides

Why participate?
With an ever-growing demand for abortion services, we are looking to our community now more than ever for support. Fund-a-Thon is a way for Tides to raise the funds necessary to continue providing abortion access to folx in Massachusetts. It's also an opportunity to create community, uplift one another, raise awareness about reproductive rights, and work to destigmatize abortion. Together, we can create a real impact and push back against the attacks on our rights.
