How Tides Works
Fund Dispersement
No! However due to our current funding streams we do prioritize abortions being performed in Massachusetts.
Tides does have some funding for out of state pledges though so you are welcome to reach out and if we can’t help, we can guide you through finding your nearest fund even if you are not in MA.
Tides currently does not reimburse for past procedures but we are committed to helping our community however we can. If you have had an abortion in the last month but have experienced financial hardship as a result of paying out of pocket please reach out to us and we will work with you to explore options!
No! Tides has billing agreements with most area providers so we will confirm that we have all the information we need from you and the clinic when we talk during your intake! Please be cautious of fake clinics that don’t have your best interests at heart and work to deny you access to the full range of reproductive health care. Verified clinics are listed both on Reproductive Equity Now’s (https://reproequitynow.org/find-a-provider-massachusetts)and the National Network of Abortion Funds’ (https://abortionfunds.org/how-do-i-find-the-clinic-thats-right-for-me/)websites.
Yes! We will never ask you about your documentation status.
Tides for Reproductive Freedom does not offer abortion pills by mail, and we are not medical providers. We are partnered with Abuzz,(https://www.abuzzhealth.com/) a telemedicine provider staffed with knowledgable, licensed clinicians who will help you through every step of using the abortion pills where ever you choose (your home, your bestie's, with your grandma, etc)- all they require is a simple form filled out online. The cost for the pills is $0-$150, and you will receive the medication in 1-5 business days.
There are many knowledgable telemedicine providers who you can check out here.(ineedana.com)
